On 13 May 2014 we woke up to the news of a coal mine “accident” in Soma, Turkey. Over 200 hundred were reported to be trapped in the mine. Over days to come numbers would multiply. Current death-toll only is 300. As the fire in the coal mine rages on for the 4th consecutive day, a full analysis is yet to be made with a final number for casualties.
The three posts tagged #SOMA today, and in the coming days will take you through the street protests in Istanbul. Although a bit delayed as we have been working around the clock since the tragedy struck, the posts may not be fast in coming, so please keep on checking back frequently, or send me a message if you are interested in what is going on in Turkey.
